A Path Inward to the Soul

Meditation is to dive all the way within, beyond thought, to the source of thought and pure consciousness. It enlarges the container, every time you transcend. When you come out, you come out refreshed, filled with energy and enthusiasm for life.

Guided Imagery & Meditation

Guided Imagery and Meditation are wonderful techniques which can be used alone or along with many of the other techniques during a session, class or workshop.

The way Transpersonal Hypnotherapy and Integrated Imagery use images, feelings, sensations and scripts or patterns to help shift perspectives this same idea can be used to help release, and change perspectives and awaken to a new way of being. During guided imagery this practice alone can help to reduce stress and anxiety bringing a sense of peace and well-being. Using visualization to connect with the mind, body, and spirit helps with pain management and stimulates the immune and circulatory systems and promotes the healing process when illness or dis-ease is taking place.

A 15-20 minute session of true meditation can give the feeling of taking a renewing nap, awakening feeling refreshed and energized to continue on with the day. When we learn to still or quiet our minds even for 10-15 minutes it allows for our mind to relax and open to new creative thoughts and ideas.

Meditation can be many things from being guided or using a focal point, listening to soothing music or using a repetitive statement, sentence, or word, using your breath to calm the body and eventually still the mind. All types of meditation can be used as a form of self-hypnosis. We experience this state often even without being aware of it. How you might be wondering does that happen? This happens when we are driving and arrive home but have no real recollection of how we got there or remembering the drive. We essentially were in a self-hypnotic state, we sometimes experience this when we watch TV, not really paying attention but also unaware of what is going on around us.

This state is also experienced when you are having an energy session or a massage or some type of body work which puts you in a relaxed state. It may feel like you have been relaxing for 10 mins and it's been a hour, just like it could feel like you've been relaxed for hours and it was only 10 mins, time becomes relative when we are relaxed and in a self-hypnotic state. I do offer classes and workshops on meditation and guided imagery. Please click Courses and Workshops for further details.
